About the event
We will be meeting at 11am at Ms Mariola’s house.
Kids will learn about bees, how they make honey, and get to see their work up close through an observation hive. Kids will see a bee under a microscope, and explore many different beekeeping materials. Liability form must be signed upon arrival. Mariola recommends purchasing a beekeeping suit if you'd like to get even closer to the action. They can be bought for $40 on Amazon.
Note: the hives cannot be opened if it is raining. If it rains, the kids will have plenty of materials to explore in leiu of seeing the hive being opened. There will be no refunds if it rains.
Snacks and play time to follow.
What to bring: water, a packable lunch/snack, weather appropriate clothes.
